West illustrates double standards by using sanctions selectively — senior diplomat

It is noted that as many as 12,000 sanctions have been imposed on Russia

MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Western countries are demonstrating double standards as they impose sanctions on Russia over its special operation in Ukraine but spared the Kiev regime from sanctions when it unleashed a punitive operation in Donbass, a senior Russian diplomat said on Monday.

"As many as 12,000 sanctions have been imposed on Russia. But no one in the West bothered to impose sanctions on Kiev when the Kiev regime unleashed an anti-terrorist, but as a matter of fact, punitive operation against its own people, which claimed the lives of 14,000 people," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushkp told reporters.

"These double standards have been demonstrated since 2014. Basically, this is what the West is being guided by," he stressed.
