The diplomat noted that at this stage, the visit of the IAEA’s mission to the nuclear facility is "highly necessary"

MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. A visit of an IAEA’s delegation to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant may happen in the near future and the groundwork process for it is positive, Russia’s First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said on Thursday.

"I heard that the process was positive and it is possible to expect the visit of the IAEA delegation to the [Zaporozhye] power plant in the near future," he told the Russia-24 TV channel.

The diplomat noted that at this stage, the visit of the IAEA’s mission to the nuclear facility is "highly necessary." "And it should be done as soon as possible," he added.

Earlier on Thursday, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi told the France-24 TV channel that the organization’s delegation would arrive at the Zaporozhye NPP in the coming days.
