Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov recalled that Britain, France and Germany had submitted "a destructive resolution condemning Iran" to the IAEA Board of Governors

Vladimir Yermakov advised the American and European parties to the agreement "to make an effort and overcome their innate bias toward Tehran"

The talks on the Iran nuclear deal were frozen in 2022

"We would only welcome a scenario wherein this relationship could be normalized, but, as I said, that has little to do with the JCPOA," the top diplomat said

"We have witnessed situations in the past when the United States and Iran held indirect contacts behind closed doors. It should be not excluded that similar contacts are taking place even now," Sergey Ryabkov elaborated

The foreign ministers expressed mutual satisfaction with the current level of foreign policy coordination between Moscow and Tehran

In the Russian foreign minister’s view, the final decision on the renewal of the nuclear deal should be made by all the parties to the JCPOA, including Russia and China

Mikhail Ulyanov stressed that Iran, Russia, and China have the political will to bring the negotiating process to a successful conclusion
