HAIKOU /China/, October 26. /TASS/. Russia will be the guest of honor at the 29th Hainan International Tropical Agricultural Products Winter Trade Fair, which will be held this year in the southern Chinese province of Hainan, Sanya Ribao reported.
According to the newspaper, Ethiopia has also been granted guest-of-honor status at the fair. Other countries that will have their own pavilions at the fair include Australia, Argentina, Bulgaria, Brazil, Vietnam, Zambia, Cameroon, Kenya, Colombia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Serbia, Slovakia, Thailand, and Uganda. Russia will showcase not only its agricultural products, which are in high demand in China, but also its national potential in the fields of culture and tourism.
Sanya Ribao noted that fair visitors will be able to explore a variety of Russian goods, including meat and dairy products, ice cream, baked goods, cookies, ready-to-eat breakfasts, chocolate, honey, and much more. According to the newspaper’s authors, this exhibition “will bring the authentic flavors of the North to Hainan and demonstrate the unique competitiveness of high-quality Russian agricultural products.”
The article emphasized that the exhibition will showcase products and cutting-edge agricultural technologies from several countries. The event's program includes numerous presentations. Organizers promise an "impressive international lineup of participants" for the Hainan fair, which is attracting growing public interest.
A special zone dedicated to helping national agricultural brands enter the global market will open on the exhibition grounds. Leveraging the advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the zone is expected to become an effective platform for cooperation between Chinese and foreign agribusiness companies. It will strengthen global supply chains for relevant products, boost the influence of Chinese brands abroad, and help foreign products gain a more secure foothold in China. In addition, a delegation from the city of Sanya on Hainan’s southern coast will attend the event. It will comprise representatives from leading local agricultural enterprises and cooperatives.
The 2026 Hainan International Tropical Agricultural Products Winter Trade Fair will be held on December 3-6 at the International Convention and Exhibition Center in Haikou, the administrative center of Hainan. This year, the exhibition has expanded its international cooperation zone further and attracted a wide variety of agricultural products from around the world.
