Peskov recalls Putin’s remarks on grain situation

Dmitry Peskov refrained from discussing the commercial aspects

MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS/. Grain intended for export will be shipped in full despite Kiev’s aggressive actions obstructing those exports, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

At a briefing, the Kremlin spokesman was asked whether the president planned to hold a separate meeting on the situation in the agricultural sector, particularly grain exports, as well as about the current status of the grain hub project in Egypt.

"I will not discuss the commercial aspects. I will only remind you that in his recent interview, the president mentioned that he had been in contact on this issue with both the prime minister and Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut, and that they discussed finding measures that would minimize the consequences of the difficulties we face as a result of the aggressive, unlawful conduct of the Kiev regime. The measures have been identified, they will be worked out, and they will ensure the timely shipment of the grain intended for export in full. That is what President Putin said," Peskov said in response to the question.
