MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. The National Wealth Fund stands at 12.73 trillion rubles ($131.13 bln) or 6.6% of the GDP projected for 2024 as of November 1 of this year, the Russian Finance Ministry said.
Liquid assets of the Fund totaled 5.447 trillion rubles (2.8% of the GDP forecast for 2024) as of November 1, 2024, which is equivalent to $56.13 bln. The figure increased by about 192 bln rubles ($1.97 bln) from early October.
The total estimated amount of the income from depositing the NWF money at accounts in foreign currency with the Central Bank, recalculated in dollars, totaled $97.3 mln with the period from December 15, 2023 to October 31, 2024.
The exchange rate difference for NWF assets nominated in the foreign exchange and the revaluation of the price of gold in which Fund’s assets are invested amounted to 1.082 trillion rubles ($11.1 bln) for the period from January 1 to October 31, 2024. In total, 220.5 bln yuan ($31.04 bln), 283.6 metric tons of gold and 410.2 mln rubles ($4.2 mln) are at NWF accounts with the Bank of Russia as of November 1.
