MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov has met Nicaragua’s Special Presidential Envoy for relations with Moscow Laureano Ortega, according to a statement released on the website of the Russian government.
"During the meeting the sides discussed promising areas of trade and industrial cooperation, giving prior consideration to the implementation of joint projects in the area of pharma, medical technology and car manufacturing," the statement reads.
The parties noted mutual intention to boost volumes and extend the range of trade turnover between the two countries, including through increasing imports from Nicaragua of products demanded on the Russian market.
"In this context an agreement was reached to organize direct contacts between Nicaraguan producers and Russian importers, in particular, large trade chains, for developing the possibilities of supplies of goods from this Latin American country in detail," the statement reads.
