KRASNOYARSK, April 4. /TASS/. The Severnaya Zvezda Company (a part of AEON Corporation), which develops the Syradasay deposit in the Krasnoyarsk Region’s north, may redirect the coal supplies to the Russian market in case of the West’s sanctions and if Russian vessels are blocked, the company’s Director General Stalbek Mishakov told TASS.
"As for the further planned coal export, under the conditions of the sanctions and of the blocked cargoes in Europe, we consider selling up to 100% of the product on the Russian market due to the shortage of this mark inside the country and due to the competitive price," he said.
According to him, the K-mark coal from the deposit is of high demand both in Russia and abroad. The company also eyes export to China in 2023, he added. "We have been negotiating potential customers in Turkey, India, Vietnam and Brazil."
The company does not drop the plan to begin coal production at the deposit in the current year. "For this purpose, earlier, the company has bought special foreign equipment, and now we have been working on equipment supplies and services from Russian and Chinese companies," Severnaya Zvezda’s director general said. "In the future, equipment supplies will be adjusted to the economic situation, and in case it will not be possible to receive some equipment, we will search for alternative suppliers."
