Russia’s Unmanned Systems adapting its UAVs to meet new customer requirements

Yekaterina Zgirovskaya emphasized that the company’s current production capacity is sufficient to reliably meet its contractual obligations in both domestic and international markets

BAKU, October 2. /TASS/. The Unmanned Systems Group is updating the production of Supercam S350 drones to meet new customer demands, taking into account the situation on the battlefield, the company’s Spokeswoman Yekaterina Zgirovskaya told TASS at the ADEX 2026 International Defense Exhibition in Baku.

"Our main focus now is on effectively adapting to the demands of the military and civilian markets. We are streamlining our production processes, developing our in-house capabilities, and expanding our network of suppliers. This enables us to quickly implement new solutions and support the entire product lifecycle, including new operator training programs and after-sales service.

The company’s capabilities are evolving and transforming, in part due to changes in the state customer’s needs, which are dictated by the dynamics of the situation on the battlefield," Zgirovskaya said.

She emphasized that the company’s current production capacity is sufficient to reliably meet its contractual obligations in both domestic and international markets.

"At the start of the special military operation, the Russian Army needed a stealthy and quiet tactical reconnaissance drone with an electric motor. As we can see, the Supercam S350 performed this task successfully," Zgirovskaya said. "However, over time, the enemy learned to counter them using its electronic warfare systems. That’s when the upgraded S350M version appeared, featuring improved protection against such systems. Then anti-aircraft drones came into play and began shooting down the reconnaissance aircraft. As technology evolved, reconnaissance aircraft began to be targeted by drones capable of flying faster than a quadcopter, and so on.".
