MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Combat testing of the new Svarog line of FPV drones with 15-and 17-inch screens, featuring interchangeable control and video modules that allow them to adapt to changing electronic warfare conditions, is underway in Russia, a spokesperson for the Svarog Research and Production Center told TASS.
"Currently, the new line of Svarog 15 and Svarog 17 FPV drones with interchangeable control and video modules is undergoing combat testing. Their main feature is modularity. Pilots can quickly adapt the drones for flights without having to rebuild the entire system from scratch. Operators can quickly change frequencies to adapt to the constantly changing radio-electronic environment. The first positive feedback is already coming in from the special military operation zone from units using the new drones," the company noted.
The Svarog Research and Production Center specified that interchangeable control and video modules allow the platforms to be adapted to various frequency bands. "In the past, drones were typically designed for use on specific frequencies, but now the new line allows users to receive, along with the drone, a complete set of modules for operating across different frequency bands. This way, the pilot can independently select the operating frequency based on the radio-electronic environment," the company said.
It added that the new line of drones is also equipped with a detachable landing gear system. "These landing gear units are quick detachable. Previously, if the landing gear broke during a crash or hard landing, replacing it was a more labor-intensive process. Now, however, this procedure takes only a short time, and the drone is back in working order," the Svarog Research and Production Center stated.
