MOSCOW, January 6. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems shot down a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force near the settlement of Tyaginka in the Kherson Region and intercepted four enemy cruise missiles over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"Russian air defenses downed a Ukrainian Air Force Mi-8 helicopter near Tyaginka in the Kherson Region. Four cruise missiles as well as a HIMARS missile were intercepted over the past 24 hours. In addition, 29 Ukrainian drones were destroyed near Belogorovka in the Lugansk People's Republic, Mirnoye in the Zaporozhye Region, Kardashinka and Kaira in the Kherson Region," the ministry said.
