Most Rostec products for IDEX tested in combat, CEO says

According to Sergey Chemezov, all enterprises within the state-run corporation are currently focused on efforts to fulfill the state defense order, with commitments to foreign partners being met as well, as Russia is not going to lose its share on the global arms market

MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. Rostec will showcase some 150 of the latest Russian weapons at the IDEX 2023 international arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi, the general director of Russia’s state-owned corporation, Sergey Chemezov, said on Thursday.

"This year, Rostec will present samples of the latest weapons, including high-precision weapons and small arms, armored vehicles, warplanes and helicopters - a total of some 150 items. I’d like to note that the bulk of the products presented at the expo has either been tested in real combat conditions or is being used in the region, which is what gives Russian weapons a competitive advantage over its rivals," Rostec quoted its chief as saying.

According to the businessman, all enterprises within the state-run corporation are currently focused on efforts to fulfill the state defense order, with commitments to foreign partners being met as well, as Russia is not going to lose its share on the global arms market. "The IDEX expo in Abu Dhabi is a key venue for cooperation with potential partners not only from the Middle East, but also from other regions," Chemezov concluded.

The IDEX 2023 international arms show is set to take place in Abu Dhabi from February 20-24. Russia traditionally takes part in the annual event. Visitors to the expo will be able to see products manufactured by High Precision Weapons, Shvabe, Russian Helicopters, and Ruselectronics, as well as Kalashnikov Concern and Uralvagonzavod.
