MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russia does not immerse itself in "sophisticated subversive activities" in the United States, yet on the contrary it is pursuing ways of establishing mutually advantageous relations, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in response to statements by US President Trump's National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster.

"No, Russia does not engage in sophisticated subversion in the United States," Peskov said. He further lambasted McMaster’s remark as “an utterly erroneous statement."

"One can say with certainty that it [McMaster’s statement - TASS] has no concrete insight, no concrete facts to rely on," Peskov went on to say.

"Moreover, as President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said, Russia seeks affable and mutually beneficial relations with the United States based on mutual trust, and it is ready to move forward in establishing such ties, as far as our US counterparts are willing to go.
