MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Gas production in Russia in 2017 could grow to 690 bln cubic meters, Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov said on Tuesday.

"We expect the figure of around 690 bln cubic meters of production. Based on this, the growth of 8-9% is characterized by both economic and technological components," he said.
Gas production in Russia in January-November 2017 increased by 9.2% year-on-year and reached 598.854 bln cubic meters.
In March, the Energy Ministry forecast that gas production in Russia in 2017 could reach 640.5 bln cubic meters is almost at the level of last year - 640.2 bln cubic meters, and in 2019 -it could reach up to 656 bln cubic meters.
The energy strategy of the Russian Federation until 2035 assumes growth of gas production in Russia by 3-17% by 2020, by 2035 production would increase by 29-39% to 821-885 bln cubic meters.
