Russia plans business mission to Zimbabwe and Tanzania — ministry

Russian deputy minister Georgy Kalamanov said that Russian companies are taking part in the project of developing the largest platinum deposit in Zimbabwe

MOSCOW, March 9. /TASS/. Russia plans to organize a business mission to the African countries of Zimbabwe and Tanzania soon, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Georgy Kalamanov said on Wednesday.

"Our next business mission to Africa is to Tanzania and Zimbabwe. Despite all difficulties, we managed to agree with our colleagues from Zimbabwe on very large projects. We practically have a new market in Tanzania. We need to start exploring it very soon," Kalamanov said at session of the "Business Russia" committee on exports.

The deputy minister added that Russian companies are taking part in the project of developing the largest platinum deposit in Zimbabwe. He added that there are also several other spheres where cooperation is possible.

Kalamanov noted that business missions are also planned to the Asia Pacific Region, including to South Korea, and to Latin America.
