ORENBURG, June 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Orenburg Region acting Governor Yuri Berg has held an urgent meeting with all services on the scene of an explosion at a mine in the Orenburg region, Western Urals.
“Berg visited the hospital and talks with doctors and injured people,” the governor’s press service said on Sunday.
As a result of the explosion four people died and two were taken to hospital.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted upon an explosion at a mine in the Orenburg region, Western Urals.
Four people have been killed in the explosion.
Law enforcement agencies said a technological explosion occurred at the Gaisky GOK (Gai mining and concentrating mill) in the regional city of Gai.
Gaisky GOK is one of the largest mining enterprises in the Urals. It makes part of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company.
