ANKARA, July 31. /TASS/. About 7,000 military surrounded and blocked the Incirlik Air Base and blocked entrances and exits amid rumors of another coup attempt, Turkish Hurriyet reported on Sunday.

The newspaper writes the operation looked much like the actions of the military during the recent coup attempt in Turkey on July 15. The police said the operation lasted for two and a half hours.
The country’s Minister for EU Affairs Omer Celik twitted the blocking was for security reasons only, adding there is no problem there.
At the night to July 16, a group of insurgents staged a military attempt coup in Turkey, where main disorders were in Ankara and Istanbul. Recent reports say about 246 killed and 2,185 injured in the coup attempt.
