China rejects claims of supporting Russia with drones in Ukraine conflict — MFA

According to Spokesman Lin Jian, China has always taken a responsible approach to the export of military and dual-use goods

BEIJING, November 18. /TASS/. China does not supply arms to the parties involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and maintains a consistent position on seeking its political settlement, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lin Jian stated at a briefing.

"China has always maintained an objective and fair position on the Ukrainian issue. We actively call for peace and the commencement of negotiations," Lin Jian noted, commenting on European media allegations about China helping Russia with the production of drones. "This is in stark contrast to the fact that some countries are adhering to double standards and adding fuel to the conflict in Ukraine."

China has always taken a responsible approach to the export of military and dual-use goods, Lin Jian pointed out. He said that Beijing has never provided the parties involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict with lethal weapons. The foreign ministry spokesman urged not to speculate on this topic and not to cast aspersions on China.

Earlier, the European edition of Politico wrote, citing a senior EU diplomat, that European intelligence sources reported the existence of a factory inside China producing drones and shipping them to Russia. Beijing has repeatedly called such claims groundless and stated that its drone exports are under strict control.
