BAKU, April 7. /TASS/. The positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled 16 times from the territory of Armenia over the past 24 hours, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
"On April 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:05 p.m. local time (from 2:30 p.m. to 6:05 p.m. GMT), the Armenian armed forces from their positions in the areas of Jil, Gunashli and Khoznavar of the Chambarak, Basarkechar and Gorus districts shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of Eriveng, Jamilli and Khajilar of the Gedabay, Kalbajar and Lachin districts a total of 16 times with small arms of various calibers," the statement said.
According to the ministry, the Azerbaijani army units "took adequate retaliatory measures" in all directions.
