Hamas claims to have destroyed over 180 Israeli combat vehicles in Gaza

Abu Ubaida, a spokesman for the Izzaddin al-Qassam Brigade, said that "palestinians are making ambush and detonate mine on the way of Israeli military, conducting sniper and machinegun fire at Israeli forces"

BEIRUT, December 10. /TASS/. Hamas’ armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, have destroyed more than 180 Israeli combat vehicles in the Gaza Strip, al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Ubaida said.

"Our fighters completely or partially destroyed more than 180 combat vehicles in the past ten days after the end of the humanitarian ceasefire," he said. "Resistance forces are now at a close distance from the enemy near Beit Lahia, Deir al-Balah, Jabalia, Sheikh Rawdan, al-Zeitun, Khan Yunis, incurring big losses on it."

"Palestinians are making ambush and detonate mine on the way of Israeli military, conducting sniper and machinegun fire at Israeli forces," he said. "The enemy is failing at all frontline section and will be completely defeated if it doesn’t stop its aggression."

Israel, in his words, will not be able "to release by force a single soldier taken prisoner on October 7."

The prisoner swap can be resumed only on Hamas’ conditions, he stressed.

The Jerusalem Post newspaper said on December 6 that radicals were still holding 138 hostages in the Gaza Strip. During the humanitarian truce from November 24 to December 1, seventy-seven women, children and elderly people were released from Gaza.
