Turkish parliament likely to vote on Sweden’s NATO bid in fall — report

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier that Turkey agreed with Sweden to join the alliance as soon as possible

ISTANBUL, July 10. /TASS/. The Turkish parliament is unlikely to pass a vote on Sweden’s accession to NATO before fall as the legislature is set to go on recess this week, CNN Turk television reported on Monday.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier on Monday that Turkey had agreed Sweden should join the alliance as soon as possible. The Turkish parliament will reconvene on October 1.
