WASHINGTON, November 11. /TASS/. The United States is allocating another package of military aid to Ukraine, worth $400 million, the Department of Defense press service said on Thursday, adding that the delivery would include four Avenger air defense systems.

The package includes missiles for HAWK air defense systems, four Avenger air defense systems and Stinger missiles, additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), 100 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs), 21,000 155mm artillery rounds, 500 precision-guided 155mm artillery rounds, 10,000 120mm mortar rounds. The US will also provide Ukraine with 400 grenade launchers, small arms ammunition, demolition equipment for obstacle clearing and cold weather protective gear.

In total, the United States has committed more than $19.3 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the President Joe Biden’s administration.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that, in response to a request from the Donbass republics, he made a decision to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine. He underscored that Moscow does not plan to occupy Ukrainian territories, instead planning to demilitarize and denazify the country. In response, the West started introducing sweeping sanctions against Russia and shipping weapons and military vehicles to Kiev already worth tens of billions of dollars at this point.
