LPR forces reach industrial zone in Lisichansk’s south – LPR ambassador

According to Rodion Miroshnik, Ukrainian troops organized fortified combat emplacement in this area, which may hold from 5,000 to 7,000 militants

MOSCOW, June 26. /TASS/. Forces of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) are advancing to Lisichansk from the south and have already reached the city’s industrial zone, LPR’s Ambassador to Russia Rodion Miroshnik said on Sunday.

"The operation toward Lisichansk is being actively conducted from the south. Lisichanssk is a commanding height, which is to be mopped up to ensure tranquility in the triangle. According to the latest reports, our soldiers are already in the industrial zone. <…> The Lisichansk industrial rubber plant and a gelatin plant are located in the south and our troops are already on these territories and they continue to advance to the city," he said in an interview with the Solovyov Live television channel.

According to Miroshnik, Ukrainian troops organized fortified combat emplacement in this area, which may hold from 5,000 to 7,000 militants.

He also said that advancing LPR troops find prohibited substances left behind fleeing Ukrainian servicemen.
