Putin, US Vice President Pence chat ‘on-the-go’ at East Asia Summit

SINGAPORE, November 15. /TASS /. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he had an ‘on-the-go’ meeting with US Vice President Mike Pence.

"So far we’ve just had an ‘on-the-go’ talk with the US vice president," Putin told a news conference after the East Asia Summit (EAS).

The Russian leader also noted that he held many meetings with "all partners, including Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, the current President of the People's Republic of China, as well as with Singapore’s head of government, and the South Korean president" on the sidelines of the EAS summit. "I’ve had meetings with virtually everyone," Putin emphasized.

The media highlighted the warm greeting that Putin had shared with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "We are friends. When people, who have this sort of esteem, meet, then that’s just fine," President Putin pointed out.
