GENEVA, October 6. /TASS/. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) told TASS that it had not received an appeal from Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva by the deadline for challenging the revocation of her neutral status.
On September 10, the International Skating Union (ISU) rejected the appeals of Russian figure skaters Kamila Valieva and Mark Kondratyuk, as well as Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin (ice dance) against the revocation of their permission to compete as neutrals athletes. Later, CAS told TASS that Kondratyuk, Stepanova and Bukin appealed the ruling in court. The athletes had 21 days to challenge the decision.
"We can confirm that CAS did not receive any appeal from Kamila Valieva," the court said in a statement.
Valieva, 20, earlier decided to resume her figure skating career after completing a four-year ban imposed over anti-doping rules’ violation. The figure skater was officially permitted to begin training sessions starting on October 25, 2025. In August, the ISU granted her a neutral status, but later revoked it.
Beginning from season 2026/27, the ISU permits Russian figure skaters to compete in tournaments in the neutral status.
