Russians across the land pledge funds for Far East tiger and his goat friend

The money will be spent on photographic and video records of the lives of Amur the tiger and Timur the goat

VLADIVOSTOK, December 7. /TASS/. The far-eastern safari park nurturing the unusual friendship of a Siberian tiger and a goat meant to be his food has published bank account details for Russians willing to donate money for the pals, director Dmitry Mezentsev told TASS on Monday.

"This does not mean that the park has no money to keep the animals," he said. "But we’ve been receiving calls from all parts of Russia from people willing to be sponsors and donators."

Mezentsev said the money would be spent on photographic and video records of the lives of Amur the tiger and Timur the goat, as well as other animals.

The tiger and the goat have lived alongside for over two weeks, with the zoo publishing daily online reports about their friendship. Latest reports say Amur and Timur enjoy playing together.
