Access to Euronews TV channel blocked in Russia over fakes about operation in Ukraine

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on criminal liability for spreading intentionally false information about the use of the Russian armed forces

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. Russia’s mass media and telecommunications watchdog (Roskomnadzor) has blocked access to the Euronews television channel in Russia over fakes about Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.

"Based on the request of the Russian prosecutor general’s office, Roskomnadzor has blocked access to Euronews materials in Russia. The foreign mass media outlet has been systematically propagating untrue socially important information about the Russian armed forces’ special military operation and calls for unauthorized mass (public) rallies," it said in response to a TASS inquiry.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on criminal liability for spreading intentionally false information about the use of the Russian armed forces (article 207.3 of the Russian Criminal Code).
