MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Kremlin remains calm on various rumors about the health of Russian President Vladimir Putin, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday, joking that those spreading them may be hit by "spring fever."
"When the sun comes up in spring, and as soon as spring is in the air, then the fever begins," Peskov said. "Someone dreams of [Rosneft CEO Igor] Sechin resignation, others — of government resignation, while others have not seen President Putin on TV for several says," he said.
"We are calm on this fever, and respond to the questions with patience," Peskov said.
Rumors have been swirling about Putin’s health when the meeting of the Russian, Kazakh and Belarusian leaders in Astana planned for this week was delayed. Peskov confirmed this on Wednesday.
"Indeed, the leaders of the three states decided to postpone the meeting in Astana for several days," he said.
