Ukrainian neo-Nazi militants 'would come second even in contest of idiots' — Putin

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the enemy lost over 76,500 troops in fighting in the Kursk area

KURSK, May 21. /TASS/. The Ukrainian militants that destroy WWII monuments only demonstrate gross idiocy by revealing their neo-Nazi nature, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with volunteers in the Kursk Region.

"They are people with neo-Nazi ideas," the head of state noted. "They would come second even in a contest of idiots. Why? Because they are idiots," Putin added.

Russia’s borderline Kursk Region came under a massive attack from Ukraine on August 6, 2024. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the enemy lost over 76,500 troops in fighting in the Kursk area.

The operation to clear the area of Ukrainian troops lasted 264 days. On April 26, 2025, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov reported to the president that the Kursk Region had been liberated.
