BOAO /China/, March 27. /TASS/. The further strengthening of comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and China is in line with the interests of both countries, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said at a meeting with Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexian.
"The further strengthening of comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and China is in line with the national interests of our countries. The deep, trust-based dialogue between the heads of state plays a crucial and guiding role in the process. This year, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Comrade Xi Jinping have held a series of telephone conversations. The Chinese president is expected to make a visit to Russia in May and the Russian president will visit China in September, with both trips related to celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II," Overchuk noted.
Russia’s delegation at the meeting also included Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach and Ambassador to Beijing Igor Morgulov, while China’s delegation consisted, among others, of Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong and Deputy Finance Minister Liao Min.
