Russian President thanked the servicemen for their exemplary service, for staying true to the oath they took to carry out their military duty

MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Russia will accomplish all the tasks of the special military operation and protect its sovereignty and security, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an awards ceremony for Russian Heroes.

"Our whole country, all our citizens are proud of you and believe in you. You have to act in a difficult combat situation, overcome serious trials. But I know your attitude, the attitude of all our fighters and commanders. That is why I am sure that we will achieve all the goals we have set, we will reliably protect our people, sovereignty and security of the Motherland," the head of state said.

He thanked the servicemen for their exemplary service, for staying true to the oath they took to carry out their military duty. "You have been awarded the high title of Heroes of Russia for valiantly completing combat missions. I am pleased to present you with these state awards today," Putin emphasized.

The president noted that the participants of the ceremony fought on the front line during the special military operation in the most difficult areas, acted professionally and courageously, shoulder to shoulder together with their combat comrades, representatives of all branches of troops: motorized riflemen, marines, special forces, tankers, paratroopers, fighters of assault units, pilots and others.

"I thank you and your fellow soldiers, because without them you probably wouldn't have been able to prove [yourselves] and do what you did. I thank you for your bravery and fortitude," the head of state concluded.
