MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed command posts of two Ukrainian army brigades over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.
"Command posts of the 31st mechanized brigade and the 12th special operations brigade, a UAV control post of the Ukrainian army’s 109th mechanized brigade, ammunition and fuel depots were destroyed," the ministry said in a statement.

Russian forces repulsed five Ukrainian army attacks in the Kupyansk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, five attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 43rd and 60th mechanized and 57th motorized infantry brigades were repulsed by the competent operations of units from the western battlegroup, army aircraft strikes and artillery fire near the settlements of Sinkovka and Ivanovka in the Kharkov Region and Lake Liman," the ministry said.
"The enemy’s losses amounted to 140 personnel, a tank, three armored combat vehicles, two motor vehicles and a US-made M119 howitzer," the ministry specified.
Russian forces repel Ukrainian attack in Krasny Liman area over past day
Russian forces repelled a Ukrainian army attack in the Krasny Liman area, destroying roughly 290 enemy troops and ten pieces of equipment over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, units of the battlegroup Center operating in interaction with artillery repulsed an attack by the Ukrainian National Guard’s 5th brigade near the settlement of Grigorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
In the area of the Serebryansky forestry, Russian forces inflicted damage on amassed Ukrainian troops and military equipment. The enemy’s losses in the Krasny Liman direction over the past 24 hours amounted to "290 personnel, two armored combat vehicles, five motor vehicles, a US-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system and two Czech-made DANA self-propelled artillery guns," the ministry specified.
Russian forces eliminate 300 Ukrainian troops in Donetsk area over past day
Russian forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in the Donetsk area, eliminating roughly 300 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Donetsk direction, units of the southern battlegroup operating in interaction with aircraft and artillery repulsed two attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 81st airmobile and 24th mechanized brigades in areas near the settlements of Belogorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic and Kirovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic. In addition, they inflicted damage on the Ukrainian army’s manpower and equipment near the settlements of Kleshcheyevka, Mayorsk, Andreyevka and Maryinka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The enemy’s losses amounted to 300 personnel," the ministry said.
Russian forces also destroyed two Ukrainian armored combat vehicles, six motor vehicles, two Polish-manufactured Krab self-propelled artillery guns, two US-made M777 artillery systems and a Gvozdika motorized artillery system," the ministry specified.
Russian forces destroy 165 Ukrainian troops in south Donetsk area over past day
Russian forces inflicted damage on three Ukrainian army brigades in the south Donetsk area, destroying roughly 165 enemy troops and three tanks over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the battlegroup East operating in interaction with attack and army aircraft and artillery inflicted damage by firepower on the personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 79th air assault, 72nd mechanized and 128th territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Novomikhailovka and Makarovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 165 personnel, three tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, two UK-made FH70 howitzers, a Polish-manufactured Krab self-propelled artillery system, a US-made M777 artillery system, two Gvozdika motorized artillery systems and a Grad multiple rocket launcher, the ministry specified.
Russian forces destroy 55 Ukrainian troops in Zaporozhye area over past day
Russian forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian army units in the Zaporozhye area, destroying roughly 55 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian battlegroup, air strikes and artillery fire inflicted damage on amassed manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 33rd, 65th and 118th mechanized brigades in areas near the settlements of Rabotino and Lukyanovskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The enemy’s losses amounted to 55 personnel, two motor vehicles and a D-30 howitzer," the ministry said.
Kiev loses 80 troops in Kherson area over past day
Russian forces struck Ukrainian army units in the Kherson area, killing and wounding roughly 80 enemy troops and destroying two US-made artillery guns over the past day, the ministry reported.
"The enemy’s losses in that direction amounted to 80 personnel killed and wounded, three motor vehicles, an M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system and an M777 artillery gun of US manufacture, a D-20 howitzer and an electronic warfare station," the ministry said.
In the Kherson direction, units of Russian troops, artillery fire and air strikes inflicted damage on the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Kachkarovka, Vesyoloye and Gavrilovka in the Kherson Region, the ministry specified.
Russian air defenses down Ukrainian Su-25, MiG-29 warplanes over past day
Russian air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft and a MiG-29 fighter jet over the past day, the ministry reported.
"During the last 24-hour period, air defense capabilities shot down Ukrainian Air Force Su-25 and MiG-29 planes in areas near the settlements of Dobropolye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Kamyshevakha in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
In addition, Russian air defense systems destroyed 76 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in areas near the settlements of Ilchenkovo, Novoye, Kharkovo, Mirnoye and Peremozhnoye in the Zaporozhye Region, Sagy and Radensk in the Kherson Region, Vladimirovka and Kirillovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Belogorovka and Shipilovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, and also eight rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and a JDAM guided air bomb, the ministry specified.
During the last 24-hour period, operational/tactical and army aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in 113 areas, the ministry reported.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 549 Ukrainian warplanes, 257 helicopters, 9,541 unmanned aerial vehicles, 442 surface-to-air missile systems, 13,840 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,188 multiple rocket launchers, 7,253 field artillery guns and mortars and 15,986 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the ministry reported.
