Village of Dubovo-Vasilevka taken under control of Russian troops — Wagner PMC founder

Earlier, Yevgeny Prigozhin reported that four groups of Ukrainian forces had been created near Artyomovsk in order to block Russian troops

MOSCOW, March 9. /TASS/. The village of Dubovo-Vasilevka northwest of Artyomovsk, known as Bakhmut in Ukraine, is fully under control of Russian troops, Wanger PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin reported on Thursday.

"Dubovo-Vasilevka is fully under control of the Wagner private military company. Fighting is taking place on the outskirts. The entire village is under our control," Prigozhin’s press service quoted him as saying on its Telegram channel.

Earlier, Prigozhin reported that four groups of Ukrainian forces had been created near Artyomovsk in order to block Russian troops.

Artyomovsk is located in the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and serves as a major transportation hub for Ukrainian troops in Donbass. Intense fighting is underway for the city. Denis Pushilin, acting DPR head, announced on February 16 that Russian forces had captured all major heights near Artyomovsk.
