MOSCOW, October 31. /TASS/. Moscow will retaliate the expulsion of a Russian diplomat from Moldova, the country's Foreign Ministry told TASS on Monday.

"Russia will give an appropriate response," the ministry pointed out.

Earlier, Moldova's Foreign and European Integration Ministry said that the republic was expelling a Russian embassy employee after an incident involving falling rocket fragments on the country's territory.

Earlier today, the Moldovan Internal Affairs Ministry reported the fall of rocket fragments on the outskirts of the village of Naslavcea.

According to preliminary information, there were no casualties, though windows in a number of houses were shattered. The ministry specified that in the morning an air-raid alarm was declared in Ukraine’s Vinnitsa and Chernovitskaya Regions bordering Moldova. The country’s border with Ukraine was closed in this area.
