Missile launched from Ukraine downed over Feodosiya — Head of Crimea

Fragments of the downed missile dropped in a Crimean settlement, but caused no injuries or damage, Sergey Aksyonov’s advisor on informational policy Oleg Kryuchkov said

SIMFEROPOL, April 8. /TASS/. A missile launched from Ukraine was downed over Feodosiya on the eastern coast of Crimea, Head of the republic Sergey Aksyonov said on his Telegram channel Saturday.

"A missile launched from Ukraine was downed over Feodosiya," he said.

Previously, Aksyonov’s advisor on informational policy Oleg Kryuchkov announced that, according to preliminary information, air defense systems went off in the Feodosiya area on Crimean coast Saturday.

Fragments of the downed missile dropped in a Crimean settlement, but caused no injuries or damage, Kryuchkov said.

In the recent weeks, Ukraine attempted to attack Crimean infrastructure with drones several times. On March 21, fragments damaged several buildings and injured a man. According to Kryuchkov, the attack targeted civilian objects, because there are no civilian objects in the area. On March 22, marine drones attempted to enter the bay of Sevastopol, but the Black Sea Fleet repelled the attack. On March 29, a drone was downed near Simferopol; the drone crashed in a field, causing no injuries or damage.
