MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. The price of the Brent crude oil futures contract for May delivery on London’s ICE rose by 3.38% to $40.03 per barrel in the course of trading session on Wednesday.
In turn, the dollar on the Moscow Exchange fell by 0.7% to 70.52 rubles, euro - by 1.1% to 78.03 rubles.
Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak said earlier that 15 countries confirmed participation in the oil exporting nations meeting to take place in Qatar’s capital Doha on April 17.
"We talked with ministers of different countries today and discussed the date of the relevant meeting and consultations between OPEC and non-OPEC countries. We agree such meeting will take place on April 17 in Doha," Novak said.
According to the Minister, Iran is also ready to participate in the meeting.
