MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. The Russian stock market is rising at the start of the main trading session, according to Moscow Exchange data. The yuan rate is falling.

The MOEX and RTS indices rose 0.46% at the opening of the main trading session, reaching 2,440.62 and 947.73 points, respectively, according to trading data as of 9:00 a.m. Moscow time. The yuan against the ruble fell 6.6 kopecks at the opening of Moscow Exchange trading, compared to the previous session's close, to 12.09 rubles. By 9:15 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX Index accelerated its gains to 2,441.34 points (up 0.49%), while the RTS Index was at 948.01 points (up 0.49%). Meanwhile, the yuan fell 7.6 kopecks to 12.089 rubles.

The Moscow Exchange Index rose 0.16% at the opening of the morning trading session, trading at 2,433.31 points, according to trading data as of 7:00 a.m. Moscow time.
