ST. PETERSBURG, October 21. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Russia and China climbed more than 30-fold over the past 25 years despite external pressure, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"Despite the mounting external pressure, trade and economic cooperation between Russia and China has been demonstrating very strong momentum, with our bilateral trade turnover having grown more than 30-fold in 25 years," he said at Russia-China talks.
Moscow and Beijing have almost fully shifted to using national currencies in their mutual settlements, Mishustin added. "Cooperation is developing fast in areas including investment, energy, cultural and humanitarian fields. Ties between the regions and, most importantly, direct contacts between our people are being consistently strengthened," he noted.
