Businessman proposes launching 90-day pilot program to develop India-Tatarstan tourism

According to the founder and chairman of the board of directors of Dimaz Group Manish Singhal, Kazan could become a hub for Russian-Indian tourism and business

KAZAN, October 17. /TASS/. Manish Singhal, the founder and chairman of the board of directors of Dimaz Group, proposed a 90-day pilot program to promote tourism between India and Tatarstan.

“In the first 30 days, we will identify 10-15 potential partners from each side, select priority markets, establish a working group, organize familiarization visits, begin promotional activities, and generate inquiries and bookings. In the second phase, by day 60, we plan to develop three to five tour packages with transparent pricing and service standards, hold B2B meetings, and conduct pilot trips. By day 90, we will evaluate inquiries and bookings, after which we will scale up this business,“ Singhal said at the ”Russia-India: From Municipal Dialogue to Joint Tourism Projects" session held during the second Russian-Indian Business Forum "TIME: Tatarstan Initiative Mutual Efficiency."

According to him, Kazan could become a hub for Russian-Indian tourism and business. “Kazan combines a rich heritage, a multicultural environment, gastronomy, vibrant events, and a unique regional charm. It introduces Indian tourists to new aspects of Russia. We propose positioning Kazan as a Russian-Indian tourism and business hub, relying on local partners and offering products tailored to the Indian market,” the businessman noted.

He also spoke about promising areas of tourism between the two countries. “Our itineraries and programs for clients include Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Sochi, especially after the Winter Olympics. Now is the time to promote Kazan,” Singhal pointed out. According to him, new areas of focus include industrial tourism, which will allow Indian businesspeople to visit enterprises in Tatarstan and understand their operations better, as well as winter tourism, which is gaining popularity among Indians.

Dimaz Group is an Indian conglomerate operating in aviation, logistics, international trade, food, tourism, and business event organization.
