SIRIUS, September 28. /TASS/. The share of domestic chips and components in microelectronics currently accounts for around 26%, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov said, adding that it could increase to 44-48% by 2030.

"Speaking about microelectronics, specifically about chips and components themselves, the share of Russian products currently is around 26%. Analysts say it could rise to 44-48% by 2030," he told reporters on the sidelines of the Microelectronics forum.

In money terms, the minister estimated that share at almost 800 bln rubles ($9.4 bln), and at over 1 trillion rubles ($11.8 bln) under the optimistic scenario. To achieve this, new facilities are being constructed and domestically developed technological equipment is being created, he noted.

"The picture is different in the regulated market. Here, demand is supported by national treatment mechanisms, which give advantages to Russian electronics. Last year its purchases in the regulated market rose by 13% to 750 bln rubles, with the share in the segment reaching almost 65%," Alikhanov said.
