US oil inventories rise by 5.5 mln barrels over week — Energy Department

The department noted that the current inventory level is 0.1% above the five-year average for this time of year

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. US commercial crude oil inventories increased by 5.5 mln barrels over the past week and stood at 461.6 mln barrels as of March 27, 2026, the US Department of Energy reported.

The department noted that the current inventory level is 0.1% above the five-year average for this time of year.

As of 17:30 Moscow time, the price of Brent crude futures for May 2026 delivery on the London ICE exchange was down 2.64% at $101.22 per barrel, while May WTI crude futures were down 2.66% at $98.68 per barrel.
