Aeroflot reports transportation down 2.3% annually in February 2025

The group carried 2.7 mln passengers (down 3.3% in domestic routes)

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. The Aeroflot Group reduced passenger transportation by 2.3% year on year in February 2025 to 3.6 mln people, the airline said.

Aeroflot, the leading carrier of the group, lowered transportation by 3.9% to 1.9 mln passengers.

The main cause of the decline in carriage is related to the leap year in the comparison period and lack of an additional holiday in the reporting period, the airline said. Despite the passenger traffic drop by 82,800 people overall, average daily transportation in February 2025 gained 1.2% and reached 127,700 passengers.

The group carried 2.7 mln passengers (down 3.3% in domestic routes). Transportation in international routes increased by 1% to 903,000 passengers. The passenger turnover is comparable with February 2024 and totaled 10 bln passenger-kilometers. The seat occupancy rate remains high and equaled 89%, including 91% for domestic routes and 86.5% for international destinations.

In January - February 2025, the Aeroflot Group carried 7.5 mln passengers, 0.1% lower than in the like period of 2024. Domestic transportation edged down by 1% to 5.6 mln passengers. International transportation increased by 2.4% to 1.9 mln passengers.

Aeroflot airline carried 4.1 mln passengers, down 1.4% annually. The passenger turnover of the air carrier increased by 4,9% at the same time.
