US-Ukraine agreement on rare earth metals does not concern Russia — Putin

"I am not weighting up this issue in any way and do not even want to think about it," the president said

NOVO-OGARYOVO, February 25. /TASS/. The US-Ukraine agreement on rare earth metals and other resources does not concern Russia in any way, Russian President Vladimir Putin said answering a question from VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.

"This does not concern us. I am not weighting up this issue in any way and do not even want to think about it," Putin said.

However, Putin believes that before concluding an agreement between Kiev and Washington on rare earth metals, it is necessary to first assess the resources.

"Of course, it would be necessary to assess this resource, how real it is, how many of these resources are there, how much they cost, and so on," he said.
