En+ increases coal production by 2.3% in 2024

The company expects coal demand to grow in the future, especially with the planned introduction of additional capacity in the Angara region

MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. The enterprises of energy and metallurgical holding En+ mined just over 17 mln tons of coal in 2024, the company said in a statement. En+ told TASS that coal production increased by 2.3% compared to 16.7 mln tons in 2023.

At the same time, according to the En+ report, the company's production in 2020-2024 increased by 26%, while coal deliveries in the same period increased by almost a third. In total, the coal division has mined 77.2 mln tons and shipped 72.5 mln tons of fuel over five years.

The company expects coal demand to grow in the future, especially with the planned introduction of additional capacity in the Angara region.

En+ is a vertically integrated aluminum and power producer. It combines power plants with a capacity of 19.5 GW and aluminum production with a capacity of 4.2 mln tons per year through a controlling stake in Rusal.
