Rosatom, Syria sign plan of memorandum on cooperation on peaceful atom

The plan stipulates cooperation in such areas as the employment of radiation technology in medicine, agriculture and industry, ensuring nuclear and radiation security

SIRIUS /Federal Territory/, March 26. /TASS/. Russia’s state corporation Rosatom and the Atomic Energy Commission of Syria have signed a plan for implementation of memorandum on cooperation in the area of non-energy employment of nuclear technologies for peaceful purposes at the Atomexpo forum, a TASS correspondent reports.

The plan was signed by Rosatom Deputy Director General Nikolay Spassky from the Russian side and Director General of Atomic Energy Commission of Syria Ibrahim Othman from the Syrian side.

The parties signed the memorandum in 2020. It stipulates cooperation in such areas as the employment of radiation technology in medicine, agriculture and industry, ensuring nuclear and radiation security, administrative, scientific and technical staff development.
