Some 38 hydrocarbon fields with oil reserves of 96 mln tons discovered in Russia in 2022

Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Alexander Kozlov said in late December 2022 that 37 hydrocarbon fields were discovered last year

MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. Thirty-eight hydrocarbon fields with the total volume of recoverable oil reserves of 96.4 mln tons were discovered in Russia in 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak wrote in the article for the Energy Policy magazine.

"In 2022, 38 hydrocarbon fields with the total recoverable oil reserves of 96.4 mln tons were discovered. Further development of the resource base is underway, including through tight and offshore reserves," he said.

Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Alexander Kozlov said in late December 2022 that 37 hydrocarbon fields were discovered last year.
