Russia affirms grain commitments in Eswatini — Foreign Ministry

It is reported that the parties paid special attention during their communication to settlement of crises and conflict situations on the African continent, including the developments in Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Mozambique

MOSCOW, January 24. /TASS/. Russia confirmed in Eswatini its commitment to fulfill its obligations in accordance with the Istanbul agreements, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued on Tuesday following a visit to the kingdom by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"Lavrov informed the Eswatini leadership during the discussion of the situation in Ukraine and around it about the objectives and tasks of Russia’s special military operation. Moscow’s commitment to fulfill its obligations under the Istanbul agreements in respect to food and fertilizer supplies to international markets was affirmed, which will facilitate the provision of food security of African nations," the Ministry said.
