MOSCOW, October 25. /TASS/. European countries may have varying opinions regarding the possibility of buying Russian gas via a hub in Turkey, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday, commenting on a statement by Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef S·kela, who had expressed optimism that Europe would not buy Russian gas via the hub in Turkey.
"Mr. Jozef Sikela probably knows that the European continent has many more countries than just the Czech Republic and they may have different positions at different stages, at different moments, varying perceptions about what is going on, and so on and so forth," Peskov said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier suggested the idea of creating a gas hub in Turkey. This issue was discussed on October 13 at a meeting between the presidents of both countries in Astana.
