Aeroflot to resume flights to Sri Lanka on April 8

The carrier will operate flights from Moscow to Colombo on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, while the flights back to Moscow will be operated on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. Russia’s Aeroflot flagship carrier resumes regular flights to Colombo (Sri Lanka) on April 8.

"From April 8, Aeroflot resumes regular flights to Colombo. Flights will be made three times a week on wide-body Airbus A330 jets," the carrier said in a release. The carrier will operate flights from Moscow to Colombo on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, while the flights back to Moscow will be operated on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, Aeroflot reported.

On March 14, it resumed flights to Bishkek and Osh (Kyrgyzstan), on March 21, flights to Baku (Azerbaijan) were restarted. From March 22, the carrier operates the suspended flights to Yerevan (Armenia). Flights to Tehran (Iran) will resume on April 2.

On March 8, Aeroflot suspended all international flights, except for the Minsk flights, due to the sanctions from the EU and the US. S7 and Pobeda carriers suspended all international flights.
