MOSCOW, September 17. / TASS /. Russian gas reserves are the largest in the world and they will last for more than 100 years, said the Chairman of the Gazprom Board of Directors Alexei Miller on Friday at the 24th annual general meeting of the International Business Congress.

"Gas reserves in Russia, Gazprom's gas reserves are the largest in the world. And we won't have any problems with our reserves for the next 100 years," Miller said.

At the same time, Miller added that some of the Gazprom fields, currently under development in Yamal will function until 2132. Also, the gas supplies in large fields in Eastern Siberia - Chayandinskoye and Kovyktinskoye, have currently amounted to only a quarter of the total reserves, 1 trillion cubic meters of 4 trillion cubic meters, Miller noted. "The prospects for pipeline gas supplies are quite great," he said.
